Our Commitment
At Live Barter, the safety of children and minors is a top priority. We are committed to creating a platform that is safe, trustworthy, and community-driven. We take proactive steps to prevent the exploitation, abuse, or endangerment of minors in connection with our Service.
Live Barter has zero tolerance for any content or behavior that exploits or endangers children. Violations will result in immediate account termination and reporting to law enforcement.
Age Requirements
Users must be at least 13 years of age to create an account on Live Barter. Users between the ages of 13 and 17 must have permission from a parent or legal guardian to use the Service. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13.
If we discover that a user is under 13, we will promptly deactivate their account and delete any associated personal information.
Prohibited Content & Conduct
The following is strictly prohibited on Live Barter:
- Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) โ any imagery, content, or material that sexually exploits or depicts minors is strictly prohibited and will be reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and law enforcement.
- Grooming โ any attempt to build a relationship with a minor for the purpose of exploitation, manipulation, or abuse.
- Solicitation โ any request for personal information, private meetings, or inappropriate interactions with minors.
- Inappropriate content directed at minors โ any content that is sexual, violent, or otherwise harmful when directed at or involving users known or suspected to be minors.
- Child labor or exploitation โ any listings or trade arrangements that involve the labor or exploitation of minors.
How We Protect Minors
- Community-based trust model โ Live Barter is designed around trusted communities, not anonymous interactions. Users connect with neighbors and people they know, reducing risks associated with contact from strangers.
- Reporting tools โ users can report any concerning behavior or content directly through the app. Reports involving minors are prioritized and reviewed promptly.
- Content moderation โ we review reported content and take swift action to remove violations and ban offending accounts.
- Law enforcement cooperation โ we cooperate fully with law enforcement investigations related to child safety and will report suspected crimes against children to the appropriate authorities.
- Data minimization for minors โ we collect only the minimum personal information necessary to provide the Service and take extra care with data belonging to users who may be minors.
Reporting Concerns
If you become aware of any content, behavior, or situation on Live Barter that may endanger a child, please report it immediately:
- In-app โ use the report feature on any profile, listing, or message.
- Email โ contact us at admin@livebarter.app with details of your concern.
If you believe a child is in immediate danger, please contact local law enforcement or call 911 immediately.
You can also report suspected child exploitation to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) CyberTipline.
Enforcement
Violations of these Child Safety Standards will result in immediate action, which may include:
- Immediate removal of offending content.
- Permanent suspension of the offending user's account.
- Reporting to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC).
- Reporting to local, state, or federal law enforcement.
- Preservation of relevant data for law enforcement investigations.
Parental Guidance
We encourage parents and guardians to be involved in their children's online activities. If your child uses Live Barter, we recommend:
- Reviewing their profile, listings, and community memberships regularly.
- Discussing safe online practices, including never sharing personal information with strangers.
- Supervising or accompanying minors during any in-person trades.

Updates to These Standards
We may update these Child Safety Standards as our platform evolves and as best practices in child safety develop. Changes will be reflected by an updated "Effective Date" at the top of this page.
